Life Lately

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I truly enjoyed the day spent with family and friends and then the following weekend which was spent with even more family and friends. I'm soaking up these times and making great memories which I will cherish even more next year when I'm away from all of this comfort. We've already been talking about how we'll do Thanksgiving next year (chicken anybody??). :)

Sorry about the whole MIA thing. I had post after post mentally lined up and then POOF, life got in the way and it all disappeared. I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety and it feels that it is eating up and controlling my life. It's so easy for me to let a small mental hurtle turn into a massive wall that I keep running into. I've been slowly learning to trust God because I know that only He can break down the wall. My husband and friends have also been a huge help. If you deal with anxiety, don't keep it in! Share and talk about your fears; it truly helps. People are there for you and they can calm you and assist in ways you may be unable to.

Happy topics! :)

I'm so excited for Christmas this year! We don't have a tree up, and we're still discussing the possibility of a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree instead of a big, poufy one. (Our cats can't climb a tiny tree plus we don't have space!) I've listened to Christmas music non-stop since last Friday and I love it! Most of my decorations are out and there are candles in abundance all over the house. My husband asked me Tuesday if I was planning on having a seance at our kitchen table. Perhaps I went overboard with the candles? ;) (there may have been 8 or 9 or so in a little cluster. It was a valid question...)

My Christmas shopping is almost done! We set limits on spending for each person and then bought smaller, but meaningful gifts. I love shopping but I really love wrapping each up and trying not to spill the secrets! I succeed- mostly!

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! I'll post more meanderings soon, I promise. :)
